Aera (Eire): Ireland

Aera, the Greek word for wind, also the ancient Greek word for wind

This is how the modern country of Ireland is called : Eire, pronounced exactly as "Aera", the Greek word for wind, because it is always windy. The Gulf Stream runs through this country bringing precipitation and making it always green (also known as the Emerald Isle)

Greek travelers from ancient times gave names to places so they can become distinguishable to later travelers.
Ancient Greeks had to travel to find arable land for a growing population as opposed to the infertile land normally populated by the Greeks.
